at the mercy of thorns

First a disclaimer in case I manage to say anything that doesn't make sense in the short space below: I actually haven't slept since the last post, which was at about 1 AM today, because by the time I had finished the work I wanted to do, it was past 7 AM, at which point it didn't really make sense to go to sleep because I wasn't tired and I ran a strong risk that I wouldn't wake up for my 11:40 class. Therefore, I'm going to write this entry while trying to avoid any more horridly run-on sentences, get some rote work done, and hit the sack like I really mean it.

Anyway, I noticed an odd tree with all these thorns sticking out of its side near my car a few days ago, and despite taking some twenty-odd pictures, none of them really captured the horrified surprise that accompanied my intial discovery. Well, apparently these ghastly things are actually all over the place around here, and I noticed this one walking home from my haircut this morning on Dryden Road. This shot felt to be the most compelling out of all of them, please let me know what you think.
