taste of india

If you live in Collegetown, you'll know that the food selection here quickly becomes boring with the typical Asian, Italian, and American cuisines. We went to this Indian restaurant for lunch today because they advertise a $6.95 lunch buffet and because we've just never been there before.

It was disappointing. The food was decidedly unaspiring -- mostly potatos, chicken, and predictably egregious amounts of curry in various, similar looking gloopy forms -- but at least I got a picture I can live with. It was impossible to keep much detail in the restaurant without having the highlights from the very sunny outside blown out. Unfortunately, purple fringing is a pretty serious issue with my camera, especially at f/2.8, and even at this size, it's still apparent. Does anybody have any good software recommendations (preferably some sort of plugin for Photoshop) to combat this?

In other news, I'll be moving this site to the new server from Mediatemple soon. If any one of my readers has experience moving Movable Type across servers while keeping everything intact, I'd be very grateful and happy for your help.
