rising

Part of the wonder of flying is being able to see clouds from a completely different perspective -- up close. I tried to photograph several formations on my way to Chicago (having had no window seats on the way back) but most of them came out a lot less awe-inspiring than how I remembered them. I tried to capture an amazing scene with some clouds against the orange of a sunset and lit city streets, but my camera did such a poor job of focusing that none of those shots were salvageable.

I'm sure everyone is getting pretty bored with the cloud pictures by now, and I promise that this will be the last one I post for a while!
