I attended an outdoor stage performance of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, set in the Old West. It was a pretty damn solid performance, and I found myself enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would have. I couldn't take pictures though, because apparently everything was copyrighted.
At the mall today, I got kicked out of a Movado store because apparently they don't allow photography. I did manage to get this piece out the door though. A similar encounter happened at Bank One last week, when I tried to snap a few photos of a cool stairwell during my waiting time. The manager actually came out and saw to it that I deleted every picture.
Pretty sure I caught a couple of people giving me dirty looks and unwelcome glances today too as I wandered around the mall with my camera. I wonder if this would have been the case if I weren't a minority.
It's kind of annoying -- not so much in that I don't understand people's concern, but that we're letting terror ruin our lives.
