shift

This morning I went to the dealership for an oil change and wash before work. My car is much happier now, though knowing my surroudnings there will be a layer of crud on it again come morning. I think I'm going to invest in the underground parking ASAP.

Anyway, I took some pictures at the dealership while I was there, and here's a shot of the Mazda 6's shifter taken with the macro lens. This baby is damn sharp. I made good use of the external flash too. If the instinctive elation that came from using my equipment today is any indication, I'd have to say I made a good purchase.

Feeling retrospective today, I took a look at the stuff I used to write to accompany my entries. It was interesting to note that I wasn't nearly as technical or "hardcore" about photography as I am now. I only wish I could say my skill has increased proportionally with my interest.

By the way, is it me, or did gas prices really increase 40 cents/gallon in a week?
