The Decisive Moment |
August 15, 2005

Went out to the city yesterday to meet up with fellow Chicago photoblogger Mitch, a fantastically swell guy with tremendous insight, talent, and unassuming European warmth. We ended up shooting from early afternoon until past sundown in various neighborhoods in the city, which got me home past midnight (meaning, between downloading 900 megs of RAW files and then posting something, or sleeping so I can wake up in the morning, sleeping won :P). My words do neither Mitch nor the experience much justice now, but it turned out to be a beautiful day and we got some sweet photos. More to come in the following days.
I guess this is my tribute to Cartier-Bresson. :) I really cannot decide for the life of me whether I like this better in black & white or color.
