I'm left with this obligatory cough that isn't terribly racking or bothersome, but is persistent enough to disturb most things that I do. A slight dull pain lingers in my throat, but it barely registers as something that should cause me discomfort. My voice still carries the slightly nasal and guttural quality of someone who's sick. I am also perpetually thirsty.
