During my tour of the paper mills I repeatedly encountered what I thought I heard to be the term "dandy roll." At first I figured I must have been mishearing because all of the folks who gave us tours spoke English with a various European accents, but it really is a word. Apparently, it's what presses and smooths the wet paper as it passes through while it's on the wire screen web.
