It has been an embarrassingly long time since I last updated. So long, in fact, that the once automatic motions that turned a file from my computer into a post on this site have been all but forgotten. In fact, I'm still checking to make sure I did everything right.

The hiatus was actually kind of nice, but I'm itching to be creative again.

One of the things I did actually accomplish in the last 6 months is buy a house, which took far longer and demanded far more of my energy than I would have initially expected. Another thing I accomplished, quite unintentionally, was become deplorably negligent in keeping up with people, so to many of you who still check my site, this is probably news. I apologize for that.

With a new house to move into in about 2 months time, and inspired by recent subscriptions to the fantastic magazines Wallpaper* and Dwell, my creative thoughts have turned towards producing things for living spaces. I would really love to take some classes in woodworking/metalworking and learn some CAD software so I can turn my interests in design towards a more functional side.

I'm also going to need some art on the walls! I am going to be too poor to really afford legitimate art, so I figured getting started with photography again, with some new goals and ideas in mind, would probably be productive.

Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before I post again. :)
